Farmington Hills resident William Cobbs has thrown his hat into the ring for governor.
The former global vice president for Xerox filed Jan. 4 to run for office in 2018.
“My mission is to restore trust and integrity to Lansing, to fix Michigan’s road and water infrastructure, to save the Great Lakes, and to make Michigan a great place to raise a family,” said Cobbs.
Cobbs, a Democrat, is running for governor on seven platform issues including restoring trust in government, putting the people first, creating quality K-12 education in Michigan, building infrastructure for the 21st century, preserving the Great Lakes, cleaning up Michigan and clean, affordable water for everyone.
Providing clean water for every Michigan resident is a top priority for Cobbs. He wants to return Michigan to the “Water Winter Wonderland” he knew as a child.
“As Governor, I will listen to citizens,” said Cobbs. “I will work with cities and towns across the state, with citizens, teachers, architects, and engineers, together, to refresh our infrastructure and restore our Water Winter Wonderland.”
